You can choose additional settings when creating a chat or at any time in the future to more flexibly configure the way Cerebro interacts with the messenger.

To go to additional chat settings, click on the gear button in the lower-left corner of your screen when creating a chat.
When creating a chat, you have access to the following settings:

  • The language in which the bot will respond to users in the chat. By default, we use the language of the user who creates the chat;

  • The requester, i.e., the user whose access rights are used to update the chat. By default, the requester is the user who creates the chat;

  • Message history. For task chats, you can choose to send all task-related messages or only new messages to the new chat. By default, all task-related messages are sent to the chat

  • There are two formats of links to Cerebro tasks:

    • Links to the desktop version;

    • Links to the web version;

    By default, links published in the chat lead to the desktop version.

  • Rules for sending messages to Cerebro from the chat:

    • Send all messages;

    • Send messages written with Reply or the /send command;

    • Send only messages written with the /send command;

  • Report settings; /report and /reportupload commands:

    • You can choose which status to set for a task in Cerebro when sending a report from the messenger. By default, users choose the status themselves;

    • The requirement to specify hours in the report. By default, hours are required. If the requirement is disabled, the report will show 0 hours.

Saving settings for new chats

The Remember button under the list of settings allows you to save your settings for future chats. All new chats will by default be created with the settings you have "remembered."

Editing settings

You can view and change chat settings in the External Chats window.

If the selected task or page is already linked to one or several chats, they will be displayed in this window. Click on the pencil icon to start editing.

The main chat editing window allows you to change:

  • the chat name displayed in the messenger;

  • the language in which the bot will respond to users in the chat;

  • the requester, i.e., the user whose access rights are used to update the chat.

You can add new Cerebro users to the messenger chat.

For advanced chat settings, go to the Chat Settings tab:

  • Task link format;

  • Requester;

Report settings; /report and /reportupload commands.
