How Can I Set Up Email and Cerebro App Notifications?

If you want to turn off informational email messages or you don't want to receive any notifications, you'll find an answer in I don't want to receive email notifications article.

Email and Cerebro client notifications are only sent regarding tasks a user is Subscribed to.

There are three levels of notifications. Notification settings are inherited from the first upper level to the lower ones by default. If a lower level has custom settings, the settings of the upper level will be ignored. For example, if a user sets custom notification settings, then the notification settings for the Universe and Projects will not apply.

Notification levels:

  1. Universe notification settings. Only Universe administrators can access these settings.

  • Main menu > Tools > Administrator;

  • Universe tab, Notifications tab to the right;

  • You can set up which notifications will be sent to your Universe's users.

   2. Project notification settings. Only Universe administrators can access these settings.

  • Main menu > Tools > Administrator;

  • Projects tab, select the project from the list that you want to set up notifications for. On the right, select the Notifications tab;

  • You can set up which notifications will be sent to users for the chosen project.

   3. User notification settings.

  • Main menu > Cerebro > My profile...;

  • In the My profile window, click the Notification settings... button;

  • In the Notification settings window, you can set up which notifications will be sent to your user.
