Linking tasks is a way to connect tasks to each other within Cerebro. The links can be consecutive (connected in a chain) or more complex — inconsequent.

Linking tasks is necessary for automatic status switching and for flexible management of start and end task time. To link tasks open the Navigator tab, choose tasks and use the following buttons on the Task Tools panel:

Select tasks(s) for linking choose tasks to add links between them.

Make link(s) set up a connection between the current task and the previously selected one.

Link the selected tasks to the chain establish a one-by-one connection for the selected tasks.

When the tasks are linked, you can review the existing connections on the Links tab or in the Links task property and then continue working on the Gantt tab.

When the status of one task is changed, for example, to ‘completed’, the status of the next task will automatically be changed to ‘ready to work’, thus achieving partial automation. If you move one task or change its duration, the linked tasks will also be affected.
